Is CPS Outdoors primarily a pool builder?

Yes. Custom pools and aquatic construction are at the core of CPS Outdoors.

While many of our projects include surrounding outdoor elements, our primary expertise is designing, engineering, constructing, renovating, and finishing high-end residential and commercial pools and aquatic environments.

Do you work on both residential and commercial projects?

Yes. CPS Outdoors works on luxury residential and commercial projects throughout South Florida.

Our residential work includes waterfront estates, custom homes, rooftop pools, spas, and major pool renovations. Our commercial experience includes luxury condominium developments, hospitality properties, rooftop pools, amenity decks, and other complex aquatic environments.

Do you only work on large estate projects?

No. While CPS specializes in high-end and technically demanding projects, we work across several property types, including single-family residences, waterfront estates, condominiums and high-rises, hospitality properties, and commercial developments.

Project fit is determined primarily by the scope, complexity, quality expectations, and level of expertise required rather than property type alone.

What areas does CPS Outdoors serve?

CPS Outdoors is based in Miami Beach and primarily serves South Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

We regularly work in communities such as Miami Beach, Star Island, Indian Creek, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and surrounding areas.

Select projects outside South Florida may also be considered depending on the scope and requirements of the project.

How early should I contact CPS Outdoors about my project?

As early as possible.

For custom homes, major renovations, commercial developments, rooftop pools, and other technically complex projects, involving the pool contractor early can help identify structural, hydraulic, waterproofing, access, equipment, and construction considerations before they become expensive problems.

Early involvement also allows CPS to coordinate more effectively with the architect, landscape architect, structural engineer, general contractor, and other members of the project team.

Do you work with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, developers, and general contractors?

Yes. Collaboration with other design and construction professionals is a major part of our work.

CPS frequently works alongside architects, landscape architects, interior designers, structural engineers, developers, owners’ representatives, and general contractors to coordinate the pool and aquatic scope with the overall project.

For complex projects, our team can participate during design development and preconstruction to assist with constructability, coordination, budgeting, material selection, and aquatic-system planning.



Design & Preconstruction

Does CPS Outdoors offer pool design services?

Yes. CPS can provide pool and aquatic design services as part of a complete project or during the early planning stages.

Depending on the scope, the design process may include concept development, layouts, material and finish selections, hydraulic planning, technical coordination, renderings, and construction documentation.

Can CPS work from plans created by my architect or landscape architect?

Yes. CPS frequently works from designs developed by architects and landscape architects.

Our team can review the proposed design from a pool-construction perspective and help identify hydraulic, structural, waterproofing, equipment, access, constructability, and coordination requirements.

We can also assist in developing the aquatic scope further when additional technical detailing is required.

Do you provide design-assist or preconstruction services?

Yes. CPS can become involved before construction begins to help evaluate the pool or aquatic scope.

Design-assist and preconstruction services may include constructability reviews, preliminary budgeting, material and system recommendations, equipment planning, coordination with consultants, value engineering, logistics planning, and identification of potential construction challenges.

Do you offer 3D or photorealistic renderings?

Can you create multiple design concepts?

Yes. When appropriate, our design process can explore multiple concepts or variations before a final direction is selected.

The number of concepts and revisions depends on the project’s design agreement and scope.

How do you make sure the pool complements the architecture of the property?

We begin by considering the architecture, sightlines, elevations, surrounding landscape, materials, intended use, and relationship between the interior and exterior spaces.

Rather than treating the pool as a standalone object, we design it as part of the property’s overall architecture.

Can you help select pool finishes and materials?

Yes. CPS can assist with selecting tile, mosaics, coping, interior pool finishes, stone, porcelain, decking interfaces, waterline materials, and other architectural finishes associated with the aquatic environment.

Selections are made with aesthetics, durability, maintenance, installation requirements, and the surrounding architecture in mind.

Can CPS work with unusual elevations or difficult site conditions?

Yes. Complex site conditions are one of the areas where early technical planning is particularly important.

Do you offer consultations at the property?

Yes. On-site consultations can be arranged when appropriate so our team can evaluate the property, existing conditions, access, elevations, and other factors that may affect the project.

Do you offer remote consultations?

Yes. Initial consultations and many design or coordination meetings can be conducted remotely.

Plans, renderings, specifications, and other project information can also be reviewed digitally with clients and project teams.

Can a project be completed in phases?

In many cases, yes.

Phasing depends on the design, permitting, construction sequence, site conditions, and relationship between the pool and other work being performed on the property. Our team can help determine whether phasing is practical for a specific project.



Pool Construction & Project Management

Does CPS Outdoors build new pools?

Yes. New custom pool construction is one of our primary services.

We build luxury residential and commercial pools ranging from traditional reinforced-concrete construction to highly specialized stainless steel and architecturally complex aquatic installations.

How long does it take to build a custom pool?

There is no single timeline that applies to every CPS project.

A major renovation may have a substantially different schedule from a custom waterfront pool, rooftop installation, stainless steel pool, or large commercial aquatic project.

Design development, engineering, permitting, material lead times, site access, structural work, weather, inspections, and coordination with other trades can all affect the schedule.

Once the scope has been established, our team can provide a more realistic project-specific schedule.

Does CPS handle permitting?

CPS coordinates permitting and inspections associated with our contracted scope and works closely with the project’s architect, engineers, general contractor, and other consultants when additional approvals are required.

The exact permitting responsibilities vary depending on the project structure and contract.

Will I have a dedicated point of contact?

Yes. CPS projects are managed by a dedicated team responsible for coordinating the work, communicating with the client and project team, and overseeing execution of the aquatic scope.

Do you provide construction progress updates?

Yes. Communication during construction may include progress reports, project meetings, site coordination, scheduling updates, photographs, and other documentation appropriate to the project.

For projects involving a general contractor or professional construction team, CPS also integrates into the project’s established communication and coordination process.

Can CPS coordinate with my general contractor?

Yes. A significant portion of our work is performed in collaboration with general contractors.

CPS can coordinate schedules, structural requirements, waterproofing interfaces, mechanical and electrical requirements, penetrations, equipment locations, finishes, access, logistics, and other elements that affect the pool scope.

Does CPS use BIM or 3D coordination?

For projects where the complexity warrants it, CPS can participate in BIM/Revit and 3D coordination workflows.

This is particularly useful on high-rise, rooftop, hospitality, and commercial projects where the aquatic systems must be coordinated with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and other building systems.

Is there a warranty on CPS work?

Yes. Applicable warranties are provided based on the specific project, contracted scope, materials, equipment, and manufacturers involved.

Warranty terms are defined in the project’s contract and supporting documentation.

What is a knife-edge pool?

A knife-edge pool is designed so the water rises to the same elevation as the surrounding deck or coping and flows over a precisely constructed perimeter edge.

The result is an extremely clean, mirror-like appearance with very little visible separation between the water and surrounding architecture.

Knife-edge pools require precise construction, hydraulic engineering, leveling, overflow collection, and finish installation to perform correctly.

Does CPS build infinity or vanishing-edge pools?

Yes. CPS has extensive experience designing and constructing vanishing-edge and infinity pools, particularly for waterfront properties and locations where the pool is intended to visually connect with the surrounding view.

Does CPS build stainless steel pools?

Yes. Stainless steel pool construction is one of CPS Outdoors’ specialized capabilities.

Stainless steel can provide significant advantages for certain rooftop, high-rise, renovation, and technically challenging projects because of its strength, precision, waterproof characteristics, and comparatively lightweight construction.

CPS can coordinate stainless steel pool systems from design and engineering through fabrication, logistics, installation, finishing, and commissioning.

Can CPS build rooftop pools?

Yes. CPS has experience with rooftop and elevated pool construction, including projects requiring complex structural coordination, cranes, restricted access, waterproofing, equipment planning, logistics, and coordination with multiple trades.

Depending on the project, rooftop pools may utilize traditional construction or stainless steel systems.

Does CPS offer movable pool floors?

A movable floor allows the pool depth to be adjusted and, when raised completely, can transform the pool area into a usable level surface.

Does CPS provide landscape design?

Landscape design and installation may be incorporated or coordinated depending on the scope of the project.

For projects involving a landscape architect, CPS frequently works directly with that professional to ensure the pool, decking, elevations, drainage, planting areas, and other outdoor elements are properly coordinated.

Can CPS build pergolas, cabanas, or shade structures?

These elements may be incorporated or coordinated as part of a larger CPS project when appropriate.

Our primary focus remains the pool and aquatic scope, so the exact responsibility for architectural structures is determined on a project-by-project basis.

Does CPS sell outdoor furniture?

Does CPS provide guidance on operating the pool equipment?

Yes. At project completion, the appropriate systems and equipment can be reviewed with the owner, property manager, or maintenance team.

Manufacturer documentation and operating information are also provided as applicable.

Can CPS return for future renovations or additions?
